Marshall and Lily's house is a house located in the suburbs of East Meadow, Long Island, New York.
History[]
It was given to Lily Aldrin, in The Slutty Pumpkin Returns, by her paternal grandparents before they move to Florida. Lily and Marshall wanted to move into the house as soon as they got it but they kept putting it off for various reasons. They officially move in, in 46 Minutes.
In The Burning Beekeeper, Marshall and Lily decide to hold a housewarming party, which turns into a complete disaster.
In Karma, Robin moved in with Marshall and Lily, but becomes annoyed at their mundane lifestyle. Later they too admit they find the suburbs boring, but believe it is best for their upcoming child. A few days later, Lily and Marshall receive a message from Ted to come hang out in the city, and the two eagerly rush off. When arriving at The Apartment, they find the place completely empty. A note from Ted explains he has decided to move out for good and he needs a change. Because Marshall and Lily's names are still on the lease, he is giving the apartment to them. In the episode Nannies Lily's father who continues to live in Long Island, burns down the house when the Fire Crackers he had stored in the garage blew up.
In Last Forever - Part Two Marshall mentions that the family needs to move into a bigger place. Although it is unknown, if Marshall and Lily still own the house by the end of the series it can be assumed that they move in again after their third kid is born.

Notes and Trivia[]
- In Nannies, Mickey comes to live with Marshall and Lily in the apartment, after he burned down his house. It has previously been established that Mickey doesn't have a permanent residence, and he could be living in this house after Marshall and Lily moved back to the city, and it is possible that this is the house he burned down.
