The Empire State Building is New York's most famous skyscraper.
At 443m tall, it was once the tallest building of the world, maintaining the record for more than 40 years, losing the title when the World Trade Center's North Tower was completed in 1972.
Construction of the building began on March 17 1929, St. Patrick's Day, and finished two years later, with the building opening to the public on May 1, 1931.
In 2007, the gang went to visit the building with Robin's sister, Katie. On the first day, they only got to the lobby, but they eventually went to the top the next day. (First Time In New York)
