Curt "The Ironman" Irons was a sports reporter in Metro News 1 and Robin's ex-boyfriend.
In The Platinum Rule, Barney tells the story about Robin and Curt's relationship.
They started dating in the spring of 2007. Robin liked him because he used to be a hockey player. They went to a hockey game together and the two finally came up together as a couple. Robin breaks up with him because he didn't give her any freedom. He takes the breakup very hard, even crying on live television.
